Beautiful pocket watch for Chinese market.
Diameter is 57mm.
Switzerland, second half of XIX century.

Watch features unusual dial with dual time indications - Western with roman numbers and Chinese with hours and quarter hours indications.
These dials are rare and there are some fakes on the market - quality printed on white layout and covered by varnish.
This dial is fully original, it's made of white enamel, all numbers are painted by hand and glazed.


Movement is signed by Bovet Fleurier, most renowned company specializing for the watches for Chinese market in XIX century.
It's also signed in Chinese, as well as back cover.

Movement is beautifully engraved "en taille douce" with floral ornament. It features side-lever escapement, lever is decorated with nice jewel.

Condition
Movement is in running condition, though time keeping not tested, cleaning is recommended.
Dial seems to be free of defects.
Case has just minor period wear, overall excellent condition.
Mineral crystal, original hands.
