British Queen Alexandra of Denmark gold & green enamel Gift Antique Pocket Watch c. 1910

Beautiful miniature pendant watch.
Diameter is 21 mm, weight is 12.4 grams.
Back cover is decorated with Queen Alexandra of Denmark cypher under the British Imperial crown applied over beautiful royal green enamel.
Alexandra of Denmark 1844 - 1925, born Princess Alexandra of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, was Queen of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions, and Empress of India, from 22 January 1901 to 6 May 1910 as the wife of King Edward VII.
According to Georgina Battiscombe book "Queen Alexandra", she was highly popular in British society, unlike of her husband.

According to aforementioned book, Alexandra's effect on contemporary British fashion was so profound that society ladies even copied her limping gait, after her serious illness in 1867 left her with a stiff leg.
She used predominantly the London fashion houses, but described that sometimes she shopped in Paris, so this watch should be an order from her Parisian voyage.
Watch is probably the smallest one that is still usable, movement is based on LeCoultre calibre. It's made with attention to the details, as you can expect from this kind of items.
Dust cover is signed by Gustave Sandoz - prestigious Parisian watchmaker and retailer. He described himself as old "Eleve de Breguet" and exposed already in 1867 the regulator watch and keyless winding and time setting without pusher button. In 1900 company was installed near the Louvre in Paris, in the Gallery de Valois, rue Royale 10 (source - Tardy).
Condition
Movement is in running condition, though time keeping is not tested.
Dial seems to be flawless.
Case is in good condition with some minor wear.
