Good minute repeater in solid 14k gold hunter case.
Case diameter is 53mm, weight is 118 grams.

The movement is a quality production of LeCoultre and is signed under the barrel bridge.
It's jewelled to the hammers and features couple of nice screwed chatons.

The watch is unsigned, case bears Swiss, German and metric hallmarks for 14k gold.
Case equally bears DCie hallmark, what should stands for well-known German manufacturer and reseller Dürrstein & Co.

The watch bears gift signature in Swedish to August Westin from Åbo Båtvarf yards date to 1915.
Abo is an Swedish name of Finnish city Turku, it was a part of Russian Empire back these days.


August Westin (1845-1920) was leading ship constructor of Åbo Båtvarf boatyard.
Between 1889 and 1909, 100 of the 118 boats ordered by members of the Airisto Segelsällskap were his handiwork. In 1909, when a reporter from Frisk Bris asked Westin how many boats he had designed, he could not answer the question - the editor's estimate was more than 400.

Åbo Båtvarf: Between 1889 and 1954, the Ruissalo Boatyard, then Åbo Båtvarf, was the largest boatyard in the Nordic countries.
The company was taken over by Fiskars in the 1960s, but did not succeed in the transition to plastic boat production and closed down in the 1970s.



Designed by August Westin the 28-valor yacht Magdalen, built for Baron M. Verstraet in St. Petersbourg - the largest pleasure yacht yet built in Finland.

The watch appears to be in good condition.
The movement is in running condition, repetition strikes as it should.
Movement appears not to be cleaned, cleaning is recommended.

Dial seems to be in good condition.
Case has some minor dents.
Overall good condition.
