Extremely fine and important, large, heavy 18k gold, minute-repeating, hunting- cased, keyless, pocket watch with Chronograph, perpetual calendar leap year indication and phases of the moon.

The watch is thick and heavy - it weight hefty 182 grams. Diameter is 54mm, thickness is 20mm.

Dust cover is signed by John Bennett, 65 & 64 Cheapside, London.
Sir John Bennett (1814 – 1897) was a clockmaker and watchmaker. He was described by one biographer as a "flamboyant personality who seems to have aroused in his contemporaries varying degrees of ridicule, hostility, and admiration".
Although trained as a practical watchmaker, Bennett's business at Cheapside was a high street retailer of watches made by English and Swiss watch manufacturers.

The movement is based on the Swiss ebauche and finished in England.
Under the perpetual calendar plate, the movement is stamped with A.Fes - for Audemars Freres - the successor company to Louis Audemars.
Louis Audemars company as well as it's successors was one of a largest supplier of complicated watches to United Kingdom.
Among the clients of Audemars were Dent, Parkinson & Frodsham and others noted watchmakers.

Case is high-quality British piece, thick and heavy.
It bears London hallmark as well as AN maker's mark.
Front and back cover are decorated with floral ornament as well as former's owner signature - Mufti Mohammed Baqar.



Condition
Watch is in quite good condition.
Cosmetic condition as shown, nice condition.
Movement functions as it should, all complications functions as it should.
Top plate has some past interventions marks. Otherwise good condition.
