Fine thin minute repeater in solid 18k gold hunter case.
Case diameter is 47mm, weight is 68 grams.
Dust cover and movement are signed by Weil Freres in Geneva.
O. Patrizzi mentions trading house "Weil Freres" in Geneva, late XIX and beginning of XX century, known by pearls & enamel pendant watches, active till 1920s.
The movement is very nice and thin. It's high grade piece, jewelled up to the hammers. Engravings on balance and barrel bridges shows that is was designated to American market.
Movement is based on the extra-plate LeCoultre SMV ebauche.
Such movements are found in watches signed by high grade American companies, as Touchon & Tiffany. Most likely the LeCoultre blank was finished by Touchon and commercialised by Weil Freres.
The watch appears to be in good condition.
The movement is in good running condition.
Repetition strikes as it should.
Please look video.
Case metal is rather not very thick and it has some minor dings.
Dial is generally fine with some minor paint losses.
Good watch, don't miss it.
