Nice and rare verge fusee pocket watch.
Diameter is 58mm.
France, late 1790-early 1800s.

Watch features decentered dial for time display and calendar with
Republican 30-days indication, painted with puttys.

Republican calendar indication
After French revolution, by decree of 1793 was introduced decimal time
and 30-days calendar.
Decimal time has been suspended already in 1795.
30-days calendar was used somewhat longer and has been abandoned by
Napoleon on 1 January of 1806, 12 years after it's introduction.

Back side of the watch has unusual design.
In the centre of glazed back cover there is opening, that remains
visible the balance wheel.
The back cover is beautifully engraved with symbolics of love - bow & arrows and altar with two burning hearts.

Movement is signed by GrandPerrin a Paris and numbered.
Baillie records Gabriel Joseph GrandPerrin in Paris, master in 1782, installed at rue St. Honoré 1807-25.

Condition
The watch appears to be in good condition.
The dial seems to be fine, with few hairlines at the edge of the dial at 3-4 hours area, they are mostly hidden by bezel..
The movement along with calendar are functioning correctly.
Case is in good condition with minor wear.
Original Breguet hands, mineral crystal.
