Beautiful pair cased verge fusee watch.
Diameter of outer case is 49mm, inner case is 42mm.
Watch is signed by
Hebert in London.
Baillie records Henry Hebert, member of Clockmakers Company in 1734.
Regarding the movement size and thickness, the cock design and square baluster pillars style, I would date the watch to 1770-1780s approximately.
Outer case is decorated with a beautiful enamel miniature in the taste of late XVII century. It depicts an elegant lady with basket of fruits and dog - probably allegory to fruits of love and faith on the galant language of XVIII.
Condition
Miniature is in nice condition, it appears to be free from reparations or visible defects, however the center is worn.
The case is generally fine.
The movement is in running condition, time keeping not tested
Silver champleve dial appears to be in good condition.
