Good verge fusee repeater by Vacheron Constantin.
Diameter is 56mm.
It's a nice and early piece of company history, it can be dated to 1820s approximately.
The watch is signed four times - dial, dust cover, movement are signed by Vacheron Constantin, the balance bridge ornamented with VACHERON & C.
Watch bears serial number 19132.
According to the company records, "Vacheron & Constantin" signature has been used since 1819.
Comparable watch is being kept by Vacheron & Constantin museum.
The watch is high quality verge fusee piece from early XIX century, unusually for verge fusee movements it's jewelled, and dust cover inform us "deux trous en rubis" - two holes jewelled.
The case is silver gilt (dust cover is gilt metal), and is hallmarked by “JM”, Geneva.
Watch appears to be in good condition.
Dial seems to be flawless. Movement is in running condition, though time keeping is not tested.
Repetition strikes as it should.
Case has minor period wear.
