Beautiful and delicate golden purse with concealed watch.
Dimensions are 79 x 53mm, weight is 86 grams.
It is decorated with a green translucent enamel over guilloché engine-turning, spring-loaded panel, set with rose-cut diamonds forming flowers, which opens to reveal the dial.
Watch feature rectangle shaped movement with cylinder escapement.
The movement is purposely made to be concealed and features all it's controls (widing, time setting and fast/slow regulation) available from the dial side.
The experts of Antiquorum auction house attributes comparable purse watch with HG signed movement as production of Henri Golay, Geneve.
Henri Golay is recorded by C. Pritchard, active in Geneve 1844-1857.
He was highly reputable watchmaker, but also a jeweller, specialising in very high quality and refined pieces.
In 1858 he invented watch minute repeating watch with grande-sonnerie, driven with a single barrel and single gear train.
Company was also collaborating with H.R Ekegren (who also worked for J. Jurgensen and A. Lange) and L.E. Piguet (worked for L. Audemars).

Item appears to be in rare excellent condition.
Enamel seems to be intact, very rare for this type of objects.
