Beautiful and rather big pocket verge watch in golden case.
Diameter is 57mm, height without bow is 73mm. Weight is 120 grams.
Watch features automaton scene of Punchinello appearing to strike the hour bell, with a total of four automaton actions.
The watch is unsigned, but certainly Swiss production of early XIX century.
It comes in solid 18k gold case, it bears some hallmarks, presumable Swiss along with French import 18k hallmarks.
Full plate verge fusee movement is in working condition, though I don't guarantee time keeping.
The repeating and automaton are working as it should.
The silver dial ring is in good condition as well as the scenery, except that the bell of right cherub is repaired.
Case is in common period condition with minor wear.
The back cover fits tightly - sometimes hard to open with just nail, watch knife is recommended.
The dust cover is missing.
