Good pocket watch by Vacheron Constantin, circa 1900.
Diameter is 50mm, weight is 83 grams.
Vacheron & Constantin have a long tradition of striving to create highly precise movements without losing the sight of the fact that they must also serve their intended purpose as wearable timepieces. With this principle at the forefront of their production for methodology Vacheron Constantin decided to create the Chronomètre Royale.
The name “Chronomètre Royal”
was registered on May 28, 1907, under the No. 22 193.
As we can read in the Vacheron Constantin Archives, this series of watches was especially made for the South American Market, especially to Argentina.
As it can expected, movement is a quality piece with large bimetallic balance and swan-neck regulator, it's jewelled to the centre wheel.
The dial, case and movement are signed by Vacheron & Constantin, dial and movement are equally signed as Chronometre Royal.
The watch appears to be in good condition.
Movement functions as it should.
Dial seems to be free from hairlines and other defects.
Case is in good condition.
