Beautiful pair cased verge fusee watch.
Diameter of outer case is 54mm, thickness is 30mm, weight is 129 grams.

Outer case is decorated with good "genre painting" enamel miniature with a slightly piquant subject.
Genre painting (or petit genre), depicts aspects of everyday life by portraying ordinary people engaged in common activities - as opposite to allegoric subject of ancient tragedies, religious themes, etc.

Nice silver champlevé dial is signed by Wilter London, as well as the movement.
But the watch is certainly Dutch production of circa 1740s, decorated with prestige London signature.
The book "Hollandse Hoorloges" by Peters shows several examples of similar watches dated from 1720 to 1740s.

Movement features continental cock, lacks any regulation of escapement, just a brass plugs on the escapement wheels ends.
Overall good period movement.

Watch comes with big and beautiful silver chatelain made in true baroque spirit.

Condition
Watch appears to be in overall good condition, probably recently revised.
The enamel is overall fine with some minor defects and discolouration.
Movement functions as it should, though timekeeping is not guaranteed.
Dial and case are in very good condition condition with moderate wear.
Good original hands.
