Nice single pusher wrist watch from 1920s.
Watch comes in 18k gold case.
Diameter without crown is 34mm, with crown is 38mm.
Watch case is made in traditional style, with pin-type time setting button and dustcover in the manner of pocket watches.
It bears hallmarks for 18k gold, dust cover is equally solid gold.
Dial is white enamel one, it's graduated with red pulsometer scale.
Dial is signed by AURAL / J. Auricoste.
Aural is trademark registered in 1922 by Joseph Auricoste, French watchmaker, known from 1889, when he succeeded to E. Thomas, who was Watchmaker to French Navy. Since then Auricoste is well known with it's collaboration with French Navy and Air Force, supplying chronographs and precision chronometry tools for French Naval and Air Forces.
Movement is based on Lemania 13 CH caliber.
Lemania, was founded in 1884 by Alfred Lugrin (1858-1920), who had trained at Jaeger-LeCoultre. In 1932 it merged with Omega, and many Omega chronograph movements (including Speedmaster Moonwatch) was Lemania development.
