Very nice single handed Louis XIV oignon watch. France, circa 1690 / 1700.
Diameter is 56mm, thickness is 38mm.
Beautiful gilt dial with porcelain cartouches.
The medallion in the center of dial is nicely decorated floral motif.
The case is richly decorated with arabesques and couple of putty.
Watch features big and beautiful balance bridge with mock pendulum.
The balance bridge is very nice, it's beautifully engraved and decorated with floral and birds ornament.
Watch is signed by François Le Begue a Paris.
Condition
Condition is rather nice nice.
Movement is running in every position, though I don't guarantee time keeping.
The brass case is in ok condition, with some period wear.
Dial is in very good condition, cartouches are in rare perfect condition.
Overall very good condition.
