Beautiful minute repeater & chronograph in solid 18k gold hunter case.
Case diameter is 52mm, weight is 114 grams.
The movement is based with SMV caliber by Audemars Piguet with it's distinctive S-shaped bridges.
The "Audemars Piguets" book by Brunner, Pfeiffer-Belli, Wehrli, shows a number of watches based on the same caliber, finished and retailed by various manufacturers, including Breguet.
The book shows the watch with identical movement by Audemars Piguet, retailed by German manufacturer Gisbert L.Brunner (p. 34).
The movement bears serial number 8715 under the dial, which dates it to 1903.
Dr. Crott auction house sold watch based on similar Audemars Piguet minute repeating + chronograph movement, finished and retailed by Golay-Leresche & fils à Genève.
Sale price was 10 500 euros + buyer premium (sale of November 2014, auction 91 lot 515).
Movement is nickel finished and decorated with Geneva stripes.
It has many jewels (34 or 35), counterpivots for escapement, jewelled to the hammers. Escapement wheels with golden screws, counterpoised lever, micrometric swan-neck regulation. Wolf-tooth winding wheels.
The chronograph wheels are also jewelled, steel parts are mirror-polished and bevelled.
The watch employs, characteristic for the best early Audemars Piguet chronographs, a register mechanism which is run from the motion train. It lowers the resistance considerably, but requires precision finish.
You won't find often such a quality Audemars Piguet repeater with chronograph.
The watch appears to be in good condition.
The movement is in good running condition.
Repetition strikes as it should.
Chronograph is also functions well.

Cosmetically watch is quite fine, with minor wear to the case.
The covers bears Swiss and metric hallmarks for 18k gold. Case also bears gift inscriptions in French.
